STATE PARK
IN THE HEART of MACOMB COUNTY MICHIGAN
Wetzel State Recreation Area is Macomb County's only State Park and is named after one of Michigan's thirteen Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. A War Memorial was constructed in this State Recreation Area and dedicated on August 2nd, 1997 in his honor. The Park is located in Lenox & Ray Townships in Northern Macomb County, Michigan.
Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer, MUCC Affiliated group working directly with the Michigan DNR to Preserve, Promote and Protect Wetzel SRA. You can view our exemption letter from the IRS here.
