IN THE HEART of  MACOMB COUNTY MICHIGAN

Wetzel State Recreation Area is Macomb County's only State Park and is named after one of Michigan's thirteen Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. A War Memorial was constructed in this State Recreation Area and dedicated on August 2nd, 1997 in his honor.  The Park is located in Lenox & Ray Townships in Northern Macomb County, Michigan.

Friends is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer, MUCC Affiliated group working directly with the Michigan DNR to Preserve, Promote and Protect Wetzel SRA.  You can view our exemption letter from the IRS here.
